From August 8th to 12th, 2022, the Sogakope Beach Resort hosted an intensive research school programme funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and organized by Institute of Statistical Social and Economic Research, University of Ghana.
The programme brought together a highly selective cohort of over 25 outstanding PhD students from across the African continent. The curriculum was designed to be comprehensive, combining rigorous theoretical academic sessions with practical, hands-on field work to equip the next generation of researchers with robust methodological skills.
We are proud to note that Philomena Kafui Ama Ahey, a dedicated PhD candidate (Curriculum and Teaching) at the University of Cape Coast, was selected as one of the over 25 PhD students selected at this prestigious event. Her participation underscores her academic excellence and her potential to contribute significantly to research and development in Africa.
