Embracing Inclusivity and Diversity in Bible Teaching

On the 27th of June, 2024, a seminar was held in Adenta, Ghana for school worship teachers in the municipality to explore the importance of inclusivity and diversity in Bible teaching. The event, organized by E-Chance International LBG in collaboration with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), brought together educators from various schools and backgrounds to share ideas and best practices.

The seminar’s theme, “Embracing Inclusivity and Diversity in Bible Teaching,” was timely and relevant, as Ghanaian society becomes increasingly diverse. The teachers engaged in thought- proving discussions, and presentations, examining how to create an inclusive environment in the school worship time.

Key takeaways from the seminar included:
1. Understanding and appreciating diverse background, cultures, and abilities
2. Using inclusive language and materials in Bible teaching
3. Creating safe spaces for pupils to share their experiences and perspectives
4. Fostering empathy, compassion, and respect for all pupils


Participants left the seminar with renewed enthusiasm and practical strategies to implement in their teaching. The event demonstrated the potential for collective growth and learning when educators come together to share ideas and experiences. As one teacher remarked “this seminar has really resonated well with me.”


The seminar was a significant step towards promoting inclusivity and diversity in Bible teaching in schools in Adenta, Ghana.
